Breakfasts are typically not included with our Self Drive Tours however, certain hotels will provide breakfast with the room. We will not know if breakfast is included until the hotel is confirmed.

Our Self Drive Tours are a packaged tour that includes your bike rental, hotel accommodations, and route suggestions. Please see our Self Drive Tours webpage for a full list of what is and is not included with our Self Drive Tours.

In order to participate in our Self Drive Tours you must meet the following requirements. Driver must be 21 years of age or older. Driver must have a valid, unrestricted motorcycle license. Driver must process a valid credit card.

Unfortunately no, in order to ride on a Self Drive Tour you must have a valid and unrestricted motorcycle license.

The bike will come with the mandatory minimum level of insurance required by the State you rent the bike. This will only protect the rider against claims made by a third party for property damage and injury. EagleRider offers a Theft & Damage Waiver which limits your liability in case of damage to the motorcycle, as well as Supplemental Liability Insurance, which protects the driver against claims made by a 3rd party.

Our Self Drive Tours do not have any set departure dates and you are welcome to start your tour any day of the week our locations are open for business.

Yes, we can easily add extra hotel nights to the beginning or end of your tour.

Prior to starting your tour we may be able to change your hotels and itinerary depending on availability. If we are able to make a change, a surcharge may be applied. Unfortunately changing your hotel while on tour will not be possible. Your hotels are booked in advance and once your tour has started it will not be possible to change hotels.

Yes! One of the advantages of our Self Drive Tours is that they are completely customizable: you are welcome to modify an existing tour, and our Booking Agents can help you create your own Custom Tour.

The hotels we use are booked based on availability and we will not know the exact hotel until it is confirmed. However, the hotels we typically use are 3-star, motorcycle-friendly properties. Examples of hotels we have used in the past are Best Western, Holiday Inn, and Quality Inn & Suites. We can also request higher-star properties for a surcharge depending on the location. Small towns often only have 3 star properties and booking a higher star hotel may not be possible. Typically higher star properties can be booked in larger cities such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, etc.

For Roundtrip tours you are welcome to store any suitcases/luggage at our EagleRider office. Luggage storage will not be possible for one way tours.

Unfortunately bike choices are not guaranteed due to factors outside our control. The majority of our riders receive their first bike choice however, at the time of booking we required two choices to be provided.

Yes, there is.

For reservations under $500 USD, all charges must be paid for at the time of booking.

Reservations over $500 USD are required to pay a minimum deposit of 20% at the time of booking. All remaining balances must be paid in full within 30 days from the day that your reservation starts (pick-up date) and are collected automatically on the dates listed on the checkout page.

If your pick-up date is less than 30 days from the booking date, the final balance will be collected automatically at midnight on the same card used at the time of booking.

For a group booking that is paid by one credit or debit card, EagleRider will charge the remaining group balance to the same card used for payment at the time of booking. If you would like to pay the remaining balance earlier or with a different payment method, please call and make arrangements before the remaining balance due date.


Store credits can only be used by and for the individual it was given to.

Store credits are used once per payment. Payments are made once during booking, and can be made multiple times afterwards.

Please note: Store credits can only be applied at locations within the same country as the original booking.

No, you can't. Since the store credit is owned by an individual and non-transferable, store credit payment option is not available for group booking.

All store credits expire 1 year after they are issued.

If you secure your rental with a credit/debit card, we will charge the security deposit on the day you pick up your rental vehicle. Your security deposit might be held by your bank for up to 45 days. After that, it will be automatically released in full unless we charge any damages, traffic violations or any other necessary charges against it.

In the event that you need to cancel outside of 45 days then you will receive everything back in the form of store credit. Canceling between 44-31 out from your tour start date will have a %50 cancellation fee and the remainder will be put into store credit. Canceling within 30 days would forfeit everything as a cancellation fee. Cancellations can be addressed on a case-by-case basis as well.

Weather conditions are not guaranteed for our Self Drive Tours. EagleRider cannot be held liable for any unpleasant and unsuitable weather conditions. No refunds shall be granted for such conditions.

In the event of a bike breakdown you must call your bike pickup location for assistance. Your pickup location will be responsible for creating a solution to get you back out on the open road. This may include asking you to bring the bike to a nearby EagleRider location or repair shop; sending a team to provide assistance; or replacing the bike. Ultimately it is up to your pickup location to offer a solution.

If you lose your rental motorcycle key, expect to pay for its replacement. Lost key fee varies per motorcycle model and can be up to $500 USD per key.

With a Self Drive Tour your bike, hotels, and route suggestions will be arranged by EagleRider. As its name implies, with the bike only rental only the bike will be arranged by EagleRider and you will be responsible for arranging hotels and routes on your own.

The main difference between EagleRider Guided and Self Drive Tours is the support structure. Guided Tours have fixed departure dates, ride in large groups (10-15 bikes, 20-25 people) along a set itinerary, led by a Tour Guide, and travel with a luggage/support vehicle. Self-Drive Tours are for smaller/individual groups, and they much more flexible with day-to-day routing, often allowing for a greater sense of freedom, independence, and accomplishment.
