Anchorage - Arrival

We suggest arriving at least a day or two early to kick any jetlag and to give yourself some time to see the sights around Anchorage. If you can make the time, take the Grizzly Bear tour to Kodiak or one of the day glacier cruises out of Anchorage. Today is your opportunity to meet your professional guide team and fellow riders for the first time at our orientation and hosted welcome dinner. Anchorage to Denali National Park

This morning we will jump on our H-D Pan America adventure bikes and start the tour with a ride to one of the most iconic destinations in Alaska, Denali National Park and her peak that rises to an elevation of 20,300 feet. It will be hard to believe, but it only gets better from here!

Denali to Fairbanks
150 mi / 240 km
The journey from Denali National Park to Fairbanks, Alaska is a stunning 120-mile drive along the Parks Highway (Alaska Route 3). Starting near the Denali Visitor Center, the route winds through dense spruce forests and sweeping tundra landscapes, often offering glimpses of the majestic Alaska Range to the south.

Fairbanks to Tok

Today we start the more remote part of the ride as we cut a path between the Alaskan Range. One of our favorite stops today is in Delta Junction for group and individual photos at the mile marker that will officially mark the start of our journey south on the famous Alaskan Highway, or ALCAN Highway, as Alaska and Yukon locals call it. As you approach Tok, often referred to as the "Gateway to Alaska," the terrain flattens slightly, but the sense of remote tranquility remains. Tok offers a welcoming stop with its small-town charm and serves as a hub for travelers heading further into Alaska or toward Canada

Tok to Deconstruction Bay

Today we will be weaving through a vast wilderness of towering mountains, reflective lakes, and open tundra. As you cross the U.S.-Canada border into the Yukon, the road skirts the stunning Kluane National Park, where the expansive Kluane Lake provides breathtaking views before arriving at the serene outpost of Destruction Bay.

Free Day in Whitehorse

We’ve done a lot of riding up to this point, and we still have a lot to cover, so take some time to enjoy historic Whitehorse. Visit the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Center and the Klondike SS Klondike Ferry & Museum to get a real sense of the First Nations and gold rush history of this region. If the weather is cooperating, which is usually is this time of year, there will be an optional day ride to waterfront town of Skagway, Alaska, known for its historic small town, scenic railway, glaciers, and more.

Whitehorse to Watson Lake

Let’s start with a crossing of the Yukon River. This River served as the main source for getting the stampeders and miners into the goldfields of the Klondike, as well as getting them out once they were flush with gold. Next up, a stunning ride along the shores of the 75-mile long Teslin Lake and crossing the Continental Divide and finishing our day in Watson Lake.

Watson Lake to Fort Nelson

Our second longest leg of the tour still offers plenty to do and see. It kicks off with a ride along the Laird River and the famous hot springs. We will even try to make some time for a quick dip in the hot springs before riding along the length of the stunning Lake Muncho and enjoy the stunning valley and mountain vistas of the most northern Stretch of the Canadian Rockies. We have left the Yukon Territory and have started our British Columbia journey today.

Fort Nelson - Dawson Creek

It gets a little difficult to find new adjectives to describe each day’s riding, but there’s a reason; this is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world to be on two-wheels. It’s also pretty cool to roll through towns with names like Trutch, Bucking Horse, and Sikanni Chief. The towns are still far enough apart in this northern region of B.C. that you’d swear it was still the 1890’s if you weren’t riding a 2023 Pan America. We are inching closer to real civilization each day, but the riding is no less spectacular. We finish today in Dawson Creek.

Dawson Creek to Jasper

Today’s highlight is the scenic route transitions from the rolling farmlands of northern British Columbia into the dramatic Rocky Mountain landscapes of Alberta, culminating in the breathtaking wilderness of Jasper National Park.
