As part of our Explore America series a tour around the Great Lakes is a must! For four days ride around Lake Michigan, one of the largest Lakes in the United States. Start in Chicago and ride north visiting destinations unique to the American Mid-West. One must see destination is Milwaukee, home to the Harley Davidson museum. As you enter Michigan visit maritime towns and features unique to this area. You can take a ferry across this great lake or ride the southern half to end your tour.

Tour Itinerary

Arrive in the “Windy City” of Chicago and pick up your bike for a great journey around Lake Michigan. Ride North out of the city and pass through Milwaukee, the birthplace of Harley Davidson. If you have time, be sure to visit the Harley-Davidson Museum for a look into one of the most iconic motorcycle companies in the world. After a quick visit in Milwaukee continue, your ride north until you reach your overnight destination, Green Bay.
After your overnight in Green Bay hop back in the saddle and continue your ride north along Lake Michigan. Your overnight stop for today is in the quaint town of St. Ignace. As a charming maritime town St. Ignace offers shopping, dining, and water activities. As you ride into this quaint town relax and enjoy the lakeside atmosphere.
Today start your ride out of St. Ignace and south to Grand Haven. Along the way continue your ride along the Lake Michigan coast. Once you arrive in Grand Haven be sure to enjoy the many features this city has to offer. These amenities include visiting the Grand Haven lighthouse, strolling along the beach, and experiencing the Grand Haven Musical Fountain.
On your last riding day you have a couple options. The first is to continue your ride around the Southern half of Lake Michigan into Chicago. The second is to take the ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee. Depending on when you set sail you will have one last opportunity to visit the Harley-Davidson Museum. Finally, ride back into Chicago to end your journey.
