Ride north to the quaint town of Half Moon Bay, through the famous Surf town of Santa Cruz, and back through the mountains just south of San Francisco. This route allows you to avoid the city and interstate traffic and just relax as you travel along the famous Pacific Coast Highway. Half Moon Bay is where San Francisco folks get away from it all!

Carmel / Half Moon Bay Motorcycle Tour - Tour Itinerary

Today you will pickup your bike and spend the day day riding around the Monterrey peninsula. Be sure to visit Cannery Row for numerous bars, restaurants, and shops as well as the world famous aquarium. You can also ride through Carmel for a small town on the Pacific Ocean full of art, galleries, and restaurants. There is an old mission to visit and if time permits, the Carmel valley for fine wine tasting at over 20 tasting rooms walking distance from each other.
Start in Carmel and ride north toward Santa Cruz for a famous northern California surf town. Pull over and watch the surfers as well as enjoy the beaches and boardwalk. After a quick stop, check out Capitola for a quiet beach village and then continue up the coast to the quaint town of Half Moon Bay.
Before your ride, have an ocean side breakfast and then hit the road back to Carmel through the famous San Andreas fault Line. As you ride, visit the many shops, eateries, and old school bars between Half Moon Bay and Carmel. Be sure to also check out Los Gatos for a wealthy California town. At the end of the day return your bike and end your coastal tour.
