Direction from San Diego International Airport: Head from Airport Terminal Road onto N Harbor Dr. and then left onto W. Laurel St. Turn left onto India St. Take the I-5N ramp. Exit the freeway on Balboa Ave E and turn left onto Garnet Ave. Head east on Morena Blvd.

Simply put, San Diego is a biker’s paradise. Mix in sunshiny days and arguably the best climate in the U.S., beautiful coastline, beaches for miles, short rides to mountains and deserts and a bustling downtown scene, and you might wonder why you considered going anywhere else.

Cruise the cool Gaslamp Quarter in the heart of San Diego’s historic downtown. Highlights include Petco Park, home of the Padres; some 200 museums; shops; and countless eateries, clubs and bars. Nearby is Balboa Park, a beautiful, multi-attraction oasis great for loosening up those tired motorcycle legs, people watching or picnicking.

Ride over the famous Coronado Bridge for lunch at the Hotel Del Coronado, a historic and reportedly haunted historic landmark. Kick your big black boots off and hit the beach, get a burger at the Burger Lounge, buy a Hawaiian shirt at one of the many shops along Orange Avenue and enjoy the balmy sea breezes.

Other area attractions include Sea World, Little Italy, Mission Bay Park, Pacific Beach, Old Town San Diego, and the San Diego Zoo, among many others. If you like herds of rabid zombies, monsters from space, and pretty much every other comic book hero or villain ever invented, check out Comic-Con if you’re in town July 18-22, 2018. This event is a must for any kindred spirit of Halloween, horror or sci-fi, but Comic-Con sells out fast so book it, and your bike, now.

Galloping out of town, the Palomar Observatory is only 64 miles from downtown and a great ride up Palomar Mountain. Further east, some 90 miles from the Gaslamp Quarter, is the spectacular Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
