What are the requirements to participate in a Guided Tour?

To participate in our Guided Tours, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Driver must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Driver must have a valid and unrestricted motorcycle license.
  • Driver must possess a valid credit card.

Do you require certain experience to participate in a Guided Tour?

Your own safety and level of comfort, amongst riding with a group and others, is our priority. We recommend that you do have at least enough motorcycle riding experience through a curve that does not make you nervous or apprehensive. You should be comfortable riding a Touring Motorcycle Model, riding in groups of 5+ motorcycles, on interstate / highway, as well as through mountain passes. We also offer riders the opportunity to take advantage of our special Pre-Tour Rental Special Package Rates, arriving a day or two early to get comfortable on the bike and see the city at the same time.

How many miles do we ride each day?

What are the hotels like on a guided tour?

Accommodation is especially important for the EAGLERIDER Guided Tour Experience, seeking properties that meet the high EAGLERIDER standards in our 30+ years in the industry. We always choose a mix of luxury, history, and fun; focusing on properties that are representative of the region we are riding in. You may stay in a 4 Star hotel in downtown Chicago one night, then experience a historic Route 66 motel the next night. Or you may spend one night in a Las Vegas Strip resort then spend the next night in a mountainside lodge outside Yosemite National Park. If you are interested in arriving a day or two early or leaving a day or two later, we do offer affordable Hotel Pre-Nights and Post-Nights on our Guided Tours. You can add these as part of the simple booking process on-line or with one of our EAGLERIDER Tour Specialist.

What kind of clothes should I bring?

Your EAGLERIDER Tour Specialist will send a detailed suggested packing list with great additional recommendations on how to prepare for your upcoming motorcycle experience. You will also receive more information in your Welcome Packet, emailed to you approximately 30 days prior to the tour. Majority of riders prefer the comfort and familiarity of their own personal helmet and choose to bring their own. EAGLERIDER provides a rental half-shell helmet for both riders and passengers on all rentals and tours.

How much luggage can I bring on a guided motorcycle tour?

It is important to us that each rider and passenger has enough gear and clothing to be comfortable for the entire length of the tour. We allow one large suitcase and one carry-on size bag for each rider and passenger on a Guided Tour. We are simi flexible in this policy in case you decide to do a bit of shopping along the way, or if you need to bring just a few extra items to look great around the pool or on the town at night.

Are airport and hotel transfers included with my Tour?

We provide complimentary transfers between your tour hotel and our EAGLERIDER rental locations at the start and finish of your Guided tour. Unfortunately, airports restrict private transfers to taxicabs, hotels, and rental car companies, so we are not able to provide direct airport transfers.

What kind of insurance do you recommend?

Most tour participants choose to bundle one of our Theft and Damage Waiver options with our Supplemental Liability Insurance options for maximum peace of mind. It is always best to ask your EAGLERIDER Tour Specialist which coverage they recommend during the simple booking process.

Will there be enough photo stops on a guided tour?

With over 30+ years of leading tours, we have the advantage of knowing where the best places to stop for photos, attractions, meals, and everything else you have been dreaming of doing on your EAGLERIDER tour.

Do I need to pay a deposit to reserve a guided tour?

Yes. Guided Tours with a total cost exceeding $500 USD and booked more than 30 days before the pickup date, a minimum deposit of 20% is mandatory at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be fully paid within 30 days prior to the pick-up date. Alternatively, if the booking is made within 30 days of the pick-up date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Please note:

  • For reservations under $500 USD, full payment required at the time of booking.
  • For group bookings paid with one credit or debit card, EAGLERIDER will charge the remaining group balance to the same card used for payment at the time of booking. If you prefer to settle the remaining balance earlier or with a different payment method, please contact our EAGLERIDER Tours Specialist, and decide on payment options before the remaining balance due date.

Will I receive some kind of information about my tour before I arrive?

Yes, you will be receiving your initial confirmation email which outlines the arrival and dates so you can plan your travel arrangements. From there you will receive a welcome packet with a wealth of information 30 days before your tour start date.

What happens if I need to cancel my guided motorcycle tour?

In the event that you need to cancel your guided motorcycle tour:

  • If the cancellation occurs outside of 45 days from the tour start date, you will receive a full refund in the form of store credit.
  • Cancellations made between 44-31 days out from the tour start date will incur a 50% cancellation fee, with the remaining amount issued as store credit.
  • Cancelling within 30 days of the tour start date will result in the forfeiture of the entire tour cost as a cancellation fee.
