EagleRider’s standard BMW® R 1200 GS rental bikes are not equipped with off-road tires, and are not allowed to be ridden on anything other than paved road.

Excellent Multi-Purpose Bike

Rode a 2015 liquid cooled GS two-up fully loaded from LA to Monterey (lot of Hwy 1) and back to attend World Superbike at Laguna Seca. 669 miles in four days with temperatures that ranged from 52 to 85. Upright riding position, comfortable and decent wind protection. Electronic cruise control was very nice while riding on the 101 freeway at 85-90 MPH. Even used the heated grips on the 52 degree morning! Excellent all purpose bike. Sport bike-like handling in the twisties, yet touring comfort. Now I know why they call this bike the "Swiss Army Knife" of motorcycles!
