Start off on Old Route 66 in Albuquerque, NM and grab a bite to eat at any of the local restaurants along the way. You will begin your ascent via The Turquoise Trail, climbing a total of 4,500 feet in elevation! Stop into see the wood working wonders exhibited at Ross Ward's Tinker Town. In the Sandia Park you will experience 21 hair pin turns in under 15 miles! At the top of the crest you will see breath taking views of Tijeras and Albuquerque. Bring your binoculars for some amazing bird-viewing and hike the trails to explore the wild-flowers that are native to the Sandia Crest.
