EagleRider debuted a new location in Milwaukee. To the brand faithful, Milwaukee means one thing: the mother company—Harley-Davidson. The town is also well-known for its breweries, many of which offer tours chronicling their role in the beer industry. Overlooking the Menomonee River, the Harley-Davidson Museum displays classic motorcycles, including one owned by Elvis. The Milwaukee Public Museum, with its large-scale European Village and a recreation of old Milwaukee, is a short putt.
The metro area boasts some 150 restaurants in the downtown area alone, 17 museums, 75 golf courses, 25 theaters, 130 miles of bicycle trails, the two-mile RiverWalk along the Milwaukee River, which meanders right through the middle of town and flanked by countless eateries, shops, brew pubs, and nightlife venues. City, boat and food tours are available. Harley also offers Steel Toe tours at the Pilgrim Road facility ($20). The 90-minute program offers views of the assembly line, powder coat process, cold testing, and steel and aluminum machining. The tour goes behind-the-scenes into areas previously unseen by the public, according to a Motor Company spokesman.
Motorcycles available to rent include the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, Street Glide, Fat Boy, Heritage Softail, Dyna Low Rider, Road King, Sportster 1200 and 883, Road Glide and Freewheeler Trike. Rent by the day, week, or multiple weeks. Low season rates start at $89/day for a 21-day rental; high season rates start at $99 for a three-week ride. Free use of a helmet is included in motorcycle rentals; apparel is available for sale. Check with the location for the availability of hotel or airport pickup/drop-off.
