    Today your ride will begin. You'll finally get your chance to ride along the rugged California coastline, and get a taste of one of the best motorcycle routes in the world, Highway 1. You will head north towards the Famous Santa Monica Pier - which is the western end of the Historical Route 66. You will ride through Malibu, Oxnard and Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara, known for it's Mediterranean atmosphere, it is influenced by its Spanish colonial heritage, makes it feel more like a European beach town than an American city. Your ride will continue through the Danish town of Solvang and then it’s only a few miles north to Pismo Beach, where you will stay for the night.

    From Pismo Beach you will continue north on PCH. You will ride past Morro Bay, Cambria and San Simeon. This wild section of coastline is the most picturesque section of the PCH. Dramatic cliffs fall into the ocean and towering redwoods rise over coastal streams. Keep your eyes peeled for sea lions and otters playing in the kelp beds! Highway 1 was carved and blasted out of the western slopes of the Santa Lucia Mountains over 100 years ago, and thankfully this area has remained mostly unspoiled. After passing Big Sur, you will ride into Monterey where you will find your hotel for the night.

    Today you will continue on Highway 1, the breathtaking views of the coves and inlets of the Pacific coastline are yours as you are heading north of Monterey. You might like to explore some of the Santa Cruz Mountain back roads. Have a cup of coffee at Alice’s Restaurant at famous Skyline Boulevard – a must for every biker! Sadly, this amazing ride must come to and end, returning your bikes in the afternoon in San Francisco. We hope you had an unforgettable ride!
