What are the requirements to participate in a Self-Guided motorcycle tour?

To participate in our Self-Guided or Guided Tour, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Driver must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Driver must have a valid and unrestricted motorcycle license.
  • Driver must possess a valid credit card.

What is a Self Drive Tour and what is included?

Our Self-Drive Tours are specialized packaged tour itineraries designed from our 30+ years in the industry of passionate motorcycle riders. They include your motorcycle rental, hotel accommodation, route suggestions, and our Mobile Tour Guide App. Please see our Self-Drive Tours webpage for a full list of our most popular tours.

Are there set departure dates for Self Drive Tours?

Our Self-Drive Tours do not have any set departure dates, allowing flexibility in planning your next motorcycle adventure for you to start your tour any day of the week when our locations are open for business.

What kind of hotels are included in the self-guided tour?

Our Self-Guided Tours typically include 2.5 - 3-star motorcycle-friendly hotels, such as Best Western, Holiday Inn, and Quality Inn & Suites. The exact hotel list will be confirmed upon booking based on availability. Breakfast is generally not included, though some hotels may provide a small continental breakfast.

What kind of insurance do you recommend?

Most tour participants choose to bundle one of our Theft and Damage Waiver options with our Supplemental Liability Insurance options for maximum peace of mind. It is always best to ask your EAGLERIDER Tour Specialist which coverage they recommend during the simple booking process.

Do I need to pay a deposit to reserve a self-guided tour? If so, how does it work, and when is the final balance due?

Yes. For Self-Guided Tours with a total cost exceeding $500 USD and booked more than 30 days before the pickup date, a minimum deposit of 20% is mandatory at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be fully paid within 30 days prior to the pick-up date. Alternatively, if the booking is made within 30 days of the pick-up date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Please note:

  • For reservations under $500 USD, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • For group bookings paid with one credit or debit card, EAGLERIDER will charge the remaining group balance to the same card used for payment at the time of booking. If you prefer to settle the remaining balance earlier or with a different payment method, please contact our EAGLERIDER Tours Specialist and decide on payment options before the remaining balance due date.

What happens if the weather does not let me continue my self-guided motorcycle tour?

Weather conditions are unpredictable, and EagleRider cannot guarantee ideal conditions for our Self-Guided Tours. Consequently, we cannot be held liable for any unpleasant or unsuitable weather that may arise. Unfortunately, refunds are not provided in such instances.
