Las Vegas, NV – Springdale, UT

    200 mi / 320 km

In the morning you will pick up your bike at EagleRider’s Las Vegas store, and are on your way to Lake Mead, where you can enjoy a great lake view as you ride along a windy road that makes biker hearts pump faster. Lake Mead is an artificial lake and was created in 1935 through the completion of the famous Hoover Dam. After a short ride on the I-15 we suggest a stop in Mesquite. From there you continue via Hurricane en route to Zion National Park. If time allows, you may want to go on a short hike or a relaxing dip in the hotel pool. Overnight.

    day 3

    Springdale, UT – Page, AZ

    120 mi / 192 km

Zion National Park is located in the far southwestern corner of Utah, where the Colorado Plateau meets the mountains and valleys of the Great Basin. There is something different about Zion - unlike Grand Canyon or Bryce Canyon you are actually at the bottom of the rock formations and on perfect sweeping curves as you cruise through the park at slow speed. Enjoy the tremendous beauty of this park. After Zion and past herds of buffalos you are on our way through Kaibab National Forest. Continue towards Lake Powell, which is more than 400 feet deep, 150 miles long and nearly 2,000 miles of shoreline. Lake Powell surrounds you with spectacular rock canyons and towers before you arrive in Page. Overnight.
  • Page, AZ – Mexican Hat, UT

    day 4

Page, AZ – Mexican Hat, UT

    145 mi / 232 km

As you leave Page you may want to visit to Antelope Canyon, which is the most visited slot canyon in the Southwest. It is easily accessible and simply extremely beautiful, with just the right combination of depth, width, length, rock color and ambient light; many other slot canyons are deeper, narrower or longer, and some have rock that is even more colorful and sculptured. You cross through Navajoland and head towards Kayenta, located in majestic Monument Valley. It almost seems like the ghost of John Wayne is riding through the valley into the sunset. Keep your eyes open for an original Hogan; an igloo like structure made of clay that even today still provides a home for some of the 13 Navajo families that still live in authentic style. You overnight in Mexican Hat, located at the San Juan River.
  • Mexican Hat, UT – Moab, UT

    day 5

Mexican Hat, UT – Moab, UT

    125 mi / 200 km

This morning you pass the Mexican Hat Monument - a rock formation that looks like a Sombrero Hat – the structure looks so shaky and you wonder how much longer this rock is going to hold up there. Via Blanding and Monticello we reach Moab, THE town for great outdoor activities and western cowboy lifestyle. Overnight.
  • Moab, UT - Free Day

    day 6

    Moab, UT - Free Day

    0 mi / 0 km

Today you will have time for visiting Canyonlands or Arches National Park - famous for the red arches of Entrada sandstone that occur there in great profusion. Both parks are close to each other so you will have enough time to see everything on this spare day. How about a rodeo this afternoon or maybe taking control of the beast yourself and go horseback riding? Overnight.
  • Moab, UT – Torrey, UT

    day 7

    Moab, UT – Torrey, UT

    160 mi / 256 km

As you are leaving Moab you will enjoy a particularly beautiful stretch of Interstate 70; a highway that runs across the USA from Interstate 15 near Cove Fort, Utah, to a Park and Ride in Baltimore, Maryland. It was the first Interstate Highway Project started in the United States. You drop south and cruise through Capitol Reef National Park; this road had to be made especially for motorcycles. A great day of riding ends in Torrey, where you overnight.
  • Torrey, UT – Kanab, UT

    day 8

    Torrey, UT – Kanab, UT

    185 mi / 296 km

From Torrey the road leads through the Dixie National Forest to Kanab. If time allows you may want to ride down to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, which is known for far fewer tourist traffic than the highly frequented South Rim. Todays’ destination is Kanab, where many stars like Frank Sinatra, Olivia De Havilland, Gregory Peck, Dean Martin, Clint Eastwood have formerly stayed privately or on their way to a movie shoot.
  • Kanab, UT – Las Vegas , NV
