Florida Keys Escorted Motorcycle Tour - Tour Itinerary
Welcome to the land of perpetual sunshine and Mickey Mouse. You may want to arrive in Orlando a couple of days early to take in Disney world, Universal Studios, or just to unwind with a few rounds of golf. Whatever you choice may be, Orlando is certainly the city that has something for everybody. Tonight we will meet our fellow riders for the first time at the orientation meeting.
Today is about feeling the warm Florida air wash over us as we make our way from Orlando to Miami. This morning you pick up your bike at EagleRider’s Orlando location and we are off to see the sunshine state. You can choose to stop by sites such as the Kennedy Space Center and spend a few hours experiencing the greatest space adventure on Earth! Or you can simply take the day to explore Florida’s Eastern coastline as you work your way to the world-famous Miami Beach.
We start our journey today on our way to the Florida Keys. You’ve seen this stretch in movies such as Mission Impossible 2, but now here’s your chance to ride a motorcycle along the myriad of bridges, sand bars and concrete that make up the Florida Keys. EagleRider loves riding in the mountains, but there is something about riding alongside the white sands and turquoise waters of the Keys that keeps us dreaming of this trip all summer long.
What is your pleasure today? Whether it is fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, exploring remote beaches, kayaking, water sports, or simply kicking back with your toes in the sand at a local beach bar, Key West has what you are looking for. You are in paradise so kick back and enjoy the lifestyle and people that keep the likes of Jimmy Buffet coming back year after sunny year.
You take Hwy 1 and are off to Florida City today. This is your entrance to Everglades National Park. Covering over 1.5 million acres at the far southwestern tip of mainland Florida, the Everglades National Park protects the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. A fair portion of the park is actually underwater, and the entire Everglades ecosystem basically a giant, slow-flowing river that is 50 miles wide, but averaging only a few inches deep. The Everglades are under constant threat, yet seem to vibrate with life. Some 300 species of birds breed here, as do 600 different kinds of fish and animals, ranging from rare manatees to abundant alligators. You overnight in Florida City.
This morning you have time to explore more of the Everglades before you continue north towards Naples. Take Hwy 997 north and then enter Hwy 41 all the way to Naples. Naples is the crown jewel of southwest Florida, nestled on the sundrenched beaches of The Gulf of Mexico, a splash with water lovers and recreationists.
You are riding along Florida’s west coast – Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Venice, St.Petersburg, Tampa – on Hwy 41. Florida’s west coast embraces all the extremes, buzzing, youthful towns rise behind placid fishing hamlets, mobbed holiday strips are just minutes from desolate swamp lands, and world-class art collections vie with glitzy theme parks. Surprises are plentiful, though the coast’s one of constant proximity to The Gulf of Mexico. In Tampa, the west coast’s largest city, you get on Hwy 4 and head to Orlando where the tour ends after we drop off the bikes in the late afternoon at our Eaglerider location.
Please advise, if you need assistance in booking a post-night.
