EagleRider will open the doors to a new location in Clermont, FL, just 22 miles west of Orlando and Disney World, Universal Islands of Ad-venture, and SeaWorld’s Aquatica Water Park. It’s the same distance to Leesburg, which hosts seasonal festivals and a major motorcycle rally in the spring.
Available motorcycles available include Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, Street Glide, Fat Boy, Heritage Softail, Dyna Low Rider, Road King, Sportster 1200 and 883, Road Glide and Freewheeler Trike. Rent by the day, week or multiple weeks. Low season rates start at $89/day for a 21-day rental; high season rates start at $99 for a three-week ride.
Clermont is part of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford metro area, offering a wide variety of dining, shopping, special events and popular attrac-tions, including the upcoming Renaissance Festival. From April 27-29, the 22nd Annual Leesburg Bikefest is expected to attract some 250,000 attendees. Organizers claim it s the “world’s largest three-day motorcy-cle and music event.” Some 30 city blocks will be chockablock with a claimed 60 live concerts, 200 vendors, bike shows and hot-body con-tests. Need more motorcycle rallies? Daytona is only 82 miles away. Bike Week runs from March 9-18. Still can’t get enough? Daytona’s Biketoberfest is slated for Oct. 18-21.
Clermont has an historic downtown district and boasts the famed Florida Citrus Tower which, at 226 feet (plus its 274-ft antenna) makes it the highest observation point in Florida, according to local officials. It was built in 1956 to allow visitors to observe the miles of surrounding orange groves, although the view today is mostly of suburbia. The tower is lit seasonally.
