EagleRider has opened the doors to its new location in Athens, GA. The city is well known for its antebellum architecture and southern charm. It marks the start of the state’s Antebellum Trail of historic Civil War towns.If when off the bike and in civilian clothes you find history, particularly mid-19th century American history, fascinating you’ll likely enjoy the art and architecture of this well-preserved town. Some attractions include the T.R.R. Cobb House, a mansion belonging to a lawyer of the period. Nearby, the Taylor Grady House is a Greek Revival mansion, and the Church-Waddel-Brumby House dates from to the early 1800s. The Georgia Museum, botanical and zoological parks, nature trails, river kayaking, art galleries, a bustling downtown area, and a literal Iron Horse sculpture are just a few of Athens’ attractions.
For mountain rides, the Chattahoochee-Oconee and Nantahala national forests are within 100 miles. These protected lands boast some 867,000 acres across 26 counties, thousands of miles of clear-running streams and rivers, approximately 850 miles of recreation trails and dozens of campgrounds, picnic areas, and other recreation opportunities. If rolling around mountain curves looking for the perfect swimming hole is not your thing, the bright lights and boulevards of Atlanta lie a scant 72 miles west.
Available to rent motorcycles available include Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, Street Glide, Fat Boy, Heritage Softail, Dyna Low Rider, Road King, Sportster 1200 and 883, Road Glide and Freewheeler Trike. Rent by the day, week, or multiple weeks. Free use of a helmet is included in motorcycle rentals; apparel is available for sale. Check with the location for the availability of hotel or airport pickup/drop-off.
