Your journey kicks off with a ride through Tasmania’s picturesque north, blending rolling countryside with sweeping coastal highways. Cruise through the Tamar Valley and along the northwest coast, where ocean views and charming seaside towns set the tone for the days ahead. As you head inland, the landscape transforms—lush farmland gives way to dense forest and winding mountain roads. The final stretch climbs into the alpine wilderness of Cradle Mountain, delivering a true sense of escape. Arrive surrounded by one of Tasmania’s most iconic natural landscapes, with time to relax or explore.


Launceston to Cradle Mountain

Start the day your way—take the optional Dove Lake shuttle and soak in Cradle Mountain’s breathtaking scenery before hitting the road. With a shorter riding day ahead, you can truly enjoy the journey. Wind your way down from the highlands through forest and farmland before reconnecting with the coast.
An optional detour to Stanley rewards you with one of Tasmania’s most iconic sights—The Nut, rising dramatically from the sea. Roll into Smithton with plenty of time to unwind.


Cradle Mountain to Smithton

Today is pure adventure. Venture off the beaten path into Tasmania’s remote northwest, tackling lesser-travelled roads that wind through dense rainforest and untouched wilderness. This is real exploration—quiet roads, raw landscapes, and a true sense of isolation. Cross the Pieman River via the unique Corinna ferry, adding a memorable and distinctly Tasmanian experience to your ride. Rejoin the main route near Zeehan before heading into Queenstown, a rugged mining town surrounded by dramatic terrain.


Smithton to Queenstown

Today, swap two wheels for water and experience one of Tasmania’s most iconic nature experiences. An early ride to Strahan sets you up for a Gordon River cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed wilderness. Glide across the still, dark waters of the river, surrounded by ancient rainforest and pristine landscapes. Visit historic Sarah Island and walk among towering Huon pines, some of the oldest living trees on earth. Return to Queenstown in the afternoon, refreshed and inspired.



Queenstown to Stahan for Gordon River Cruise

Finish your tour with one of Tasmania’s most rewarding rides. Depart Queenstown and take on the famous 99 Bends—a thrilling series of corners that every rider will love. From there, the road opens into the vast Central Highlands, offering sweeping views, cool alpine air, and quiet, open roads. 
Pass through the Great Lakes region before descending back toward Launceston via scenic countryside. It’s the perfect finale—diverse, exciting, and unforgettable.
