Eagle Rider

Your adventure begins with one of Tasmania’s most underrated riding roads—the legendary Sidling climb. Sweep through lush forest, rolling hills, and quiet country roads as you head toward the northeast. This is a day of discovery, with hidden gems at every turn. Cruise through Scottsdale and Bridport before venturing into more remote territory, where the roads become quieter and the scenery more rugged. Optional detours take you to the remote beauty of Ansons Bay and the striking Eddystone Point Lighthouse—true off-the-beaten-path experiences. Finish the day in St Helens, gateway to Tasmania’s stunning east coast, with the option to explore the turquoise waters of Binalong Bay.

Launceston to St Helens

Today is all about Tasmania’s iconic east coast—arguably some of the most scenic riding in Australia. Follow the coastline south through Bicheno, where ocean views are your constant companion. Then turn inland briefly to Coles Bay, home to the world-famous Wineglass Bay. Whether you take the short walk to the lookout or simply soak in the views, this is a must-see highlight. Continue south through Swansea and along sweeping coastal roads to Orford. It’s a relaxed, breathtaking ride packed with postcard-worthy scenery.


St Helens to Orford

Today offers two unique experiences depending on your mood. Option A – The Explorer: Ride to the historic Port Arthur site via the stunning Tasman Peninsula. This route delivers dramatic coastal scenery, rugged cliffs, and a deep dive into Australia’s convict history. Option B – The Cruiser:  Take a shorter, relaxed ride via Richmond, home to Australia’s oldest bridge and charming village atmosphere—perfect for a slower-paced day and to sight-see the historic port city of Hobart. Both routes lead you into Hobart, Tasmania’s vibrant capital, where great food, waterfront views, and city energy await.


Orford - Hobart

This is one of Tasmania’s most epic rides. Head deep into the wilderness along Gordon River Road, where the scenery becomes increasingly remote and breathtaking. Ride through dense forest, past rivers and mountains, with minimal traffic and maximum immersion. Highlights include Russell Falls and the serene beauty of Lake Pedder, before reaching the towering Strathgordon Dam—an awe-inspiring feat of engineering set against a wild backdrop. This is raw Tasmania at its best.


Hobart - Strathgordon - Hobart

Today you head deep into Tasmania’s wild heart. Leaving Hobart, the landscape quickly transforms as you follow the Lyell Highway west. Ride through dense forest, past rivers and mountain ranges, into some of the most remote terrain in Australia. 
Highlights include Nelson Falls and the stunning Derwent Bridge region, with endless opportunities to stop and take it all in. Arriving in Queenstown feels like stepping into another world—raw, rugged, and rich in history.


Hobart - Queenstown

This is West Coast riding at its absolute best. From Queenstown, head to Strahan before turning north into a stretch of road ridersdream about—flowing corners, rainforest surroundings, and minimal traffic. Finish the day with a visit to Stanley and the towering Nut before arriving in Smithton.


Queenstown - Smithton

Today blends coastal riding with a climb into Tasmania’s alpine wilderness.  Cruise through Burnie and inland toward quieter roads as you leave the coast behind. The scenery shifts again—lush farmland gives way to forest and mountain terrain. 
Optional stops like Black Bluff Lookout offer incredible panoramic views, while the ride into Cradle Mountain delivers a sense of calm and isolation.  Arrive surrounded by one of Tasmania’s most famous natural environments.


Smithton to Cradle Mountain

Your final day is all about enjoying the ride. Wind your way through picturesque countryside, before tackling a mix of flowing rural roads and hidden back routes. This is relaxed, rewarding riding with plenty of character, finishing back in Launceston where your journey began. It’s the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable week on the road.
