Other Vehicles:
The Softail Night Train is all about style. While it boasts all the same power and performance of the Softail series, the Night Train features much better ergonomics and fantastic looks for a ride that’s as easy on the eyes as it is on the road. This is a great bike for those who can handle a bigger engine and want to look good while wielding some serious power.
Features
The Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train features the 1584cc Twin Cam engine of the series, a monster that delivers 87.9ftlbs of torque at only 2750rpm. This powerplant is supported by an Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection system and short dual-exhaust silencers for that trademark Harley sound. The seat height is a very manageable 25.2 inches for a nice, low ride, and the frame is relatively long but still manages to be compact. And a pillion seat means you can easily share all this power and prestige with a passenger.
History
The FSXTB Night Train was introduced as a new model in Harley-Davidson’s popular Softail series in 2000, and the motorcycle has constantly evolved and improved in the years since. The displacement was increased in 2002 and again in 2007, when the Night Train received a six-speed gearbox. The bike has managed to improve constantly and yet stay faithful to its original design, making it one of so many great Harley models.
Famous Appearances
The Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train appears in The Death and Life of Bobby Z.
