Hotel, motel, stazioni di servizio e ristoranti classici sono ubicati lungo il percorso e invitano tutti a “Get Their Kicks on Route 66.” La celebre e iconica Route 66 è la strada dei sogni per qualsiasi tour in moto

Route 66 - September 2016
Thank you Richard and Wendy - tour guides extraordinaire! What an awesome 2 weeks. With a thorough briefing at the start of each day and updates as we stopped along the way, we always knew what was going on. Richard is an exceptional rider … and an even better guide! His ability to keep our group together, with varying riding abilities among the riders, is legendary. Wendy was always there with cold water (to drink and get sprayed down with), a friendly smile, a supporting conversation, and cold beer at the end of the day. The little things Wendy constantly did for us made such a big difference to our experience.
Richard’s knowledge of Route 66 – the road and many of its characters – is exceptional. He also had some great ideas for group and individual photos at quite a few of the stops, and they’ve provided memories we’ll cherish forever.
The ‘back of house’ staff at Eagle Rider were also really helpful … and patient with all of our emailed questions when we were making bookings and preparing for the trip.
Thanks, Richard and Wendy (and the Kiwis, Aussies and South Africans in our group), for a great couple of weeks.
Rick and Helen.
Route 66 18-25 August 2016. - Chicago to Albuquerque
We recently completed this part of Route 66 with Richard Wynkoop as our tour guide and Will Wallett as the van driver. Wow - what an awesome team!!! Richard is passionate about this Route and it showed. Every morning we would start of with a team briefing. We were told what to expect and given a bit of history on each place which he continued with throughout the day. He had a great rapport with everyone where we stopped on the way, who in return were very welcoming to us all. Will looked after us all with his quiet presence. At some stage he kept windscreens clean, endlessly stacked and unloaded our bags, kept us supplied with cold water, ensured we had a nice cold beer at the end of the day, discreetly gave us advise when he felt we weren't riding safely and made everyone feel safe with the continual presence of the big black van. Together Will and Richard set our intercoms into our helmets working late to do so, making our ride more enjoyable. Nothing was too much bother for these two.
The only thing that could have made this trip more perfect was the communication from Easyrider. We arrived from New Zealand knowing we had to buy gear from the Easyrider store. The phone number is a Californian one, so it was very difficult to get through to the correct shop or get directions and hours etc. On the itinerary it would be so much easier if all the details of this shop were included with directions and an address as it took us a couple of days to find it. Luckily we had the time.
Apart from this small glitch I would recommend this tour to everyone: great accommodation, great company, well organised and well worth while. A shame we didn't have the time to do the whole route!
