After picking up your motorcycle you head east and quickly lose sight of Minneapolis/St Paul metropolitan area in your rear view mirror as you approach the St Croix River Valley. Turning south you follow the St Croix River until it merges with the mighty Mississippi River. Here you pick up the famous Great River Road and continue your ride south. The Great River Road winds its way along the banks of the Mississippi River and limestone bluffs. The Mississippi Bluffs destination area is dotted with charming river towns, complete with historic main streets and wonderful river vistas. Your destination tonight is La Crosse, Wisconsin.

With the sun at your back, today you head west through hardwood forests, rolling hills, and family owned farms. Past the city of Mankato you pick up the Minnesota River Valley and follow this green belt to your destination tonight. The city New Ulm, rich in German heritage, prides itself for its food, beverage, and of course their famous mid-west kindness.

This is the last day of riding, but it no less spectacular that what you have enjoyed in previous days. You head East out of Augusta and cross the border back into South Carolina for the scenic ride back to Myrtle Beach. Stop and take in the views along the shores of beautiful Lake Moultrie before picking the coastal road back up to finish your journey. What better way to end a ride than with the ocean on your right hand side and the whole of the United States on your left. Maybe it's time to start thinking of a USA Coast to Coast journey!
