Arrive in Ontario and transfer to your hotel. Once an agricultural center, Ontario is now a largely residential community in an area known as the Inland Empire, about 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Overnight.

This morning you pick up your bike and your exciting trip through Southern and Central California can begin. Your are heading out to the Pacific Coast – Hwy 101 will take you all the way into Santa Barbara – a beautiful seaside community with its famous old mission, the historic wharf and palm-lined walkways. Overnight.

As you leave Santa Barbara you continue your journey along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world – on Hwy 101 up to Gaviota, where Hwy 101 turns inland and takes you through the Santa Ynez Mountains. We suggest a stop in Solvang, an old-world Danish village, where you could visit the motorcycle museum. Ride via Santa Maria and Pismo Beach and follow Hwy 101 all the way into San Luis Obispo, where you overnight.

Ride over to Morro Bay, which is famous for the Morro Rock – a dome-shaped volcanic peak that rises out of the Pacific Ocean, 578 feet above the northwestern end of the city’s harbor. Continue north on Hwy 1 and enjoy one of the most beautiful roads in the entire world! En route to Monterey you might want to stop in Cambria, or San Simeon, your gateway to Hearst Castle. Stick with Hwy 1, which winds through redwood forests and along the cliffs of the Big Sur Coast and you arrive in Monterey. Here, enjoy life at Cannery Row or you might want to visit the Bay Aquarium. Overnight.

From Monterey you ride the incredibly beautiful roads of Big Sur and cross throughout the agricultural fields of the Central Valley into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. On curvy narrow back roads you are heading to Yosemite, one of America’s most scenic National Parks. Overnight.

There are only a few places on earth that can possibly match Yosemite Valley. Ansel Adam’s photographs do justice to the place, but there is nothing like being there. The tremendous granite monoliths of Half Dome and El Capitan are surrounded by sheer drops with amazing waterfalls, and Glacier Point offers a spectacular view from above. From Yosemite you go south and ride along Sequoia National Park – a landscape studded with the largest of trees, the giant sequoia. Today’s destination is Bakersfield, home to one of the liveliest country music scenes in the nation. Overnight.

From Bakersfield you ride along Kern River to Lake Isabella. Cruise the southern tip of Sequoia National Park and enter Hwy 395 south. You cross the Mojave Desert and arrive in San Bernadino National Forest. Pick up Hwy 15, which will take you all the way back into Ontario. Upon arrival it will be time to return your bike and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
