We always like to leave some description to the imagination, so all we will tell you about today is that you will, quite literally, see and ride a bit of everything Southern California has to offer. You'll start along the Pacific Ocean before turning east and riding winding mountain roads to 7,000 ft elevation. The ride back down the east side of the San Bernardino Mountains takes you along what may be the best motorcycle road in California, the 28 mile stretch of Highway 243 that doesn't have one straight line in it! The ride today finishes in the desert oasis of Palm Springs where you will have plenty of time to relax in the pool before taking in some of the great shopping, dining and nightlife. Today starts with an incredible ride through Joshua Tree National Park, an EagleRider fan favorite. From Johsua Tree you will ride along the shores of the Salton Sea, a highly salinated desert lake that was once a thriving tourist town for Southern California locals. Today it like a ghost town, with rows of abandoned hotels and restaurants that have been featured in Hollywood films. Your final destination today is the mountain town of Julian, which sits about 1 hour east of San Diego. Julian is quaint mountain town that is famous for having some of the best apple pie in the world. Eat a light lunch and dinner so you can save room for a big plate of hot apple pie!

EagleRider has a long-standing rule for riders overnighting in Julian; it's ok to start your day with a big piece of apple pie for breakfast! Once you have indulged yourself, turn your sights west towards the Pacific Ocean once again. You'll meander down out of the foothills and pick up Highway 1 once again in Dana Point, rolling through Laguna Beach before reaching your final destination at EagleRider Newport Beach.
