EagleRider’s Central California Motorcycle Tour is loaded with 8 days of excellent back country riding AND scenic coastline touring. Beginning in the heart of the California’s Central Valley, Fresno, you begin this self-drive motorcycle tour with a ride up to the Yosemite National Park. After experiencing Ansell Adams photographs for yourself, you get to head to the exciting city of San Francisco for a memorable ride across the Golden Gate Bridge. You tour continues down the Central Coast along Pacific Coast Highway before riding back into Fresno through the serene rolling hills and farm ranches of the Pleasant and San Joaquin Valleys. Arrive at Fresno airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
This morning you will pick up your bike and your exciting journey can begin. You head north on Hwy 41 towards Yosemite National Park, one of America’s most scenic national parks. Any viewpoint here is truly spectacular and there are only a few places on earth that can possibly match Yosemite Valley. Ansel Adam’s photographs do justice to the place, but there is nothing like being there. You will probably want to park your motorcycle and walk around Yosemite Village. You overnight in Yosemite Village or El Portal.
Today you are heading over to San Francisco. Take Hwy 120 and enjoy a scenic ride through Stanislaus National Forest. Get into San Francisco from the north – take Golden Gate Bridge. Overnight.
This is one of the best motorcycle rides in the world! From San Francisco you ride down legendary Hwy 1 along the Pacific Ocean. Breathtaking views of the coves and inlets of the Pacific Coastline are yours as you are heading for Monterey. You might like to explore some of Santa Cruz mountain back roads. Have a cup of coffee at Alice’s Restaurant at famous Skyline Boulevard – a must for every biker! In Monterey enjoy life at Cannery Row or visit the Bay Aquarium. Overnight.
From Monterey your exciting ride continues south on PCH and we recommend a stop at the quaint village of Carmel. You might want to check out Hearst Castle in San Simeon for a glimpse of the lifestyle of the rich and famous. A little further south you come to Morro Bay – Central Coast at its best! Today’s destination is San Luis Obispo – you are in wine country, this is home to award winning wines and premium vineyards. Overnight
Today your journey will take you north – pick up Hwy 101 towards Paso Robles. From here take SR 46 to Cholame. There are a number of wineries along route 46, where you can stretch your legs and titillate your palate. You take Hwy 41 up to Route 33, your road into Coalinga, nestled in Pleasant Valley at the eastern edge of California’s Coast Mountain Range, surrounded by hills and ranches. Overnight.
You ride over the Kettleman Plain and through San Joaquin Valley back into Fresno County. Upon arrival in Fresno you will return your bike at EagleRider’s Fresno store and transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.
Today your journey will end with your departure flight back home.
