Arkansas Motorcycle Tour

Arrive in Little Rock – Arkansas’ largest city – and transfer to your hotel. The state’s capital wasn’t surveyed as a town until 1820, making it young compared to many state capitals. It wasn’t incorporated until 1831, only five years before Arkansas attained statehood. Overnight.

Day 2 :Little Rock - Hot Springs
Miles : 80 Kilometers : 129

Arkansas Motorcycle Tour

In the morning you pick up your bike at Eagle Rider’s Little Rock location and are in for a most fantastic ride that promises big fun! Leave Little Rock on Hwy 10 and head towards the picturesque Ouachita Mountains. A scenic ride indeed – pick up SR 7, which will take you to Hot Springs National Park, in Western Arkansas. You overnight in Hot Springs, a year-round health and pleasure resort, located at the edge of the National Forest. Overnight.

Day 3 :Hot Springs - Eureka Springs
Miles : 220 Kilometers : 354

Arkansas Motorcycle Tour

Back on SR 7 (National Scenic Byway), you ride north – enjoy gentle sweepers through the National Forest and typical rural Arkansas. Ride all the way up to Cowell, where you will enter Hwy 16, which offers a good variety of curves and scenery from the tallest mountains of Arkansas. Continue north on Hwy 23 – the “Pig Trail”, and the Ozark Highlands National Scenic Byway. Big panoramas are yours! Stick with Hwy 23 all the way into Eureka Springs, the famous spa resort town, and your stop for tonight.

Day 4 :Eureka Springs - Mountain View
Miles : 140 Kilometers : 225

Arkansas Motorcycle Tour

You are leaving the beautiful Victorian Village of Eureka Springs and follow Hwy 62 East to Harrison. This is the “Crossroads of the Ozarks”, a rustic resort community in the Valley of Crooked Creek. As you continue on Hwy 65 and Hwy 66 to Mountain View there is more dramatic scenery your way – this is certainly one of Arkansas’ favorite rides! Mountain View enjoys a very special draw to motorcycle riding. The Ozark town is nestled amongst peaks that are still jagged and abrupt – curvy, twisted roads lead to nearby Ozark National Forest, Buffalo National Wilderness, Bull Shoals Lake, Greers Ferry Lake and several remote accesses to the White River. This place is your base for the next two nights. Overnight.

Day 5 :Mountain View
Miles : 0 Kilometers : 0

Arkansas Motorcycle Tour

Today is at leisure to explore the Mountain View area. Mountain View is folk music, and most weekends you find musicians sitting in with informal groups on the Town Square and playing music just for the fun of it. Plenty of good riding out of this quaint little town – you might want to pick up Hwy 14 to visit Blanchard Springs Caverns. Or ride up north on Hwy 5, the Sylamore National Scenic Byway, which would take you to Mountain Home. Make sure to stop in the groovy little town of Norfork. Return to Mountain View. Overnight.

Day 6 :Mountain View - Memphis
Miles : 170 Kilometers : 274

Arkansas Motorcycle Tour

Take Hwy 14 and ride along White River. You are heading out all the way to the eastern corner of the US State, cross the Mississippi and enter Tennessee. Today’s destination is Memphis. In addition to the larger-than-life influences of Elvis, Memphis offers fabulous BBQ joints and places like A. Schwab, where you can still buy celluloid collars and voodoo supplies. Overnight.

Day 7 :Memphis - Little Rock
Miles : 160 Kilometers : 258

Arkansas Motorcycle Tour

If you are a music lover, you can easily spend weeks in Memphis hitting great record stores and talking to older Memphians. Perhaps you would like to visit Sun Studio or Graceland before you continue your ride back into Little Rock. Take Hwy 70, which will take you all the way back to where you started your ride. En route you might want to make a stop in Lonoke, where you can find the largest state-sponsored warm-water fish hatchery. Upon arrival back in Little Rock, it will be time to return your motorcycle at EagleRider’s Little Rock office and transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.
