Day 1 : Chicago Arrival
Upon arrival in Chicago you get a taxi from O’Hare Airport to your downtown hotel. EagleRider’s representative will be present at the hotel lobby to give you information about the upcoming trip and schedule an initial briefing with all tour participants. Following you can visit the Blues clubs and enjoy the night life of the “Windy City", go shopping on “Miracle Mile” or just get a goodnight’s sleep.
Day 2 : Chicago - Green Bay
After getting the formalities out of the way we pick-up our motorcycles at EagleRider’s Berwyn location and start our adventure. First we are travelling north to Milwaukee and pass the famous new Harley-Davidson museum which we will visit on our way back. The road hugs along Lake Michigan until at Manitowoc we ride west to Green Bay where we will spend the night.
Day 3 : Green Bay - Marquette
Leaving Green Bay we ride further up north to Marinette and Menominee that are separated by the Menominee River which counts as the border of Wisconsin and Michigan. We are now in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, called “U.P.”. The inhabitants of this part of the state are called “Yoopers”; it’s all a little different up here and they even seem to speak their own language “Holy Wah!”. Further up the U.P. along the coastline of Lake Michigan we reach Escanaba and continue further to Marquette where we will overnight.
Day 4 : Marquette - Sault Ste Marie
A beautiful ride along Lake Superior’s shore gets us to Munising and further on to Manistique. We reach Sault Ste Marie Michigan, at the Eastern edge of the Upper Peninsula. The sister town is Sault Ste Marie Ontario and also our place to stay for the night.
Day 5 : Sault Ste Marie - Parry Sound
As we are riding across the Saint Mary’s River we are entering Canada. Highway 17 also called Trans Canada Highway runs through all ten provinces of Canada and is the world's third longest national highway, measuring 7,821 km. After we reach Sudbury we are heading south towards Parry Sound which will be our next stopover.
Day 6 : Parry Sound - Toronto
We are now travelling the eastern shoreline of Lake Huron along the Georgian Bay and through a stretch called “Thirty Thousand Islands”. These waters offer plenty of water sport activities like boating, fishing, waterskiing and many more. As we ride south towards Toronto we now feel the traffic getting heavier and the area becomes increasingly populated. Canada’s largest city offers us a ton of entertainment options and we are getting ready for a night out on the town.
Day 7 : Toronto - Port Huron
We are leaving Canada and ride back into the USA by visiting one of the best known waterfalls in the world – The Niagara Falls; the falls are building a natural border between Canada and the U.S. You can actually get right behind the Niagara Falls by entering a tunnel like structure. For those who don’t like to get wet there’s rain ponchos offered. We now continue our ride west through the province Ontario and reach the shore of Lake Erie. After about a 120 mile long scenic drive we reach Port Huron, Michigan where we re-enter the USA.
Day 8 : Port Huron - Harrisville
Along a lake front drive we are cruising up Lake Huron’s western shore and ride along an amazing scenic road we reach Bay City which is geographically divided by the Saginaw River where drawbridges allow large ships to travel down the river. Along Michigan’s east side we reach Harrisville after a great day on our bikes.
Day 9 : Harrisville - Muskegon
Today we need to cover some ground and we have to rise early. Our ride heads west and runs across the state to Traverse City which is located at Grand Traverse Bay. A ride up to the northernmost point of the bay turns out to be biker’s paradise. At Lake Michigan’s eastern shore we arrive at the sand dunes of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore where a surprise awaits us. We are reaching the town of Manistee for lunch and past Ludington we head further south to Muskegon where we’ll spend the night so we are on time to catch our ferry the next morning.
Day 10 : Muskegon - Milwaukee
This morning we’ll catch the 10am Lake Express, a high speed ferry that takes us across Lake Michigan and which takes about 4 hours to get to Milwaukee. As we get off board we head to visit the Harley-Davidson factory and museum. The afternoon goes by so quickly as time flies; in the evening we are visiting the Miller Brewery.
Day 11 : Milwaukee - Chicago
It’s time to head back to Chicago to drop-off our bikes at EagleRider. A shuttle brings us to our hotel which is located downtown. We get ready for our farewell dinner and in our minds we’re riding this fantastic tour all over again. Slowly it’s time to say good-bye to your newly made friends and to your tour guides. We hope to see you again next year on another exciting tour.
