Tour Itinerary

Arriving into Bilbao Airport, guests will jump on to the hotel shuttle bus 5 minutes from our nights’ accommodation where we will check in and then begin bike allocation, briefings and an overview of the route and destinations along it. Following the necessary formalities, we’ll enjoy a welcome meal at the hotel with the rest of the group.
Riding around the city of Bilbao it’s not long before the route starts to enjoy stunning riding roads. The day winds us across country roads heading for the town of Potes in the Picos Mountains. Potes is a beautiful historic town which we will enjoy for three nights, giving you the opportunity to explore its delights each night when we return from the days riding and visit restaurants that specialises in the local cuisine.
For the next two days, we’ll ride circular routes from Potes, enjoying the roads the Picos Mountains is famous for. Much of the riding is on smooth, flowing and quiet roads that challenge the rider whilst impressing with the mountainous views. We will stop along the way to take these in and refresh ourselves. Our route will follow one of the best Picos roads in and out of Potes, where we return to for another night exploring the medieval town and dinner in a local restaurant.
Another day riding the fantastic roads of the Picos Mountains, and again, a circular route bringing us back to Potes. The roads offer us another superb day of quiet, challenging riding, over mountain passes and through spectacular gorges, coming to an end for the last time in Potes.
Leaving Potes, we head east in the direction of the Pyrenees, riding across country on fantastic mountain roads to begin with. The day stopping just short on the Pyrenees in the historic city of Pamplona. World famous for its running of the bulls.
A chance to walk around this world famous Spanish city and take in its history and maybe have a walk along the streets where only weeks before, people were being chased by the bulls. Only in Spain!
With the mountains as a backdrop, we’ll get ourselves away from the city of Pamplona on the quick route, before dropping on to a sweeping road running along the side of a lake. We reach the edge of the Pyrenees and the long road running throughout its length that we’ll be following for the next two days. Bielsa is a small town nestled in the mountains of the Ordesa National Park, and at the end of a lovely stretch of road.
Returning along the road followed to get to the hotel, we’ll find ourselves back on the twisting roads followed the previous day that takes us eastwards. A day’s riding to remember, we will end it in the Principality of Andorra, where guests can explore Andorra la Vella.
The final days riding and we leave the mountain town of Andorra for the coastal city of Barcelona. Heading downwards from the heights of the Pyrenees, we’ll spend much of the day meandering through the Spanish countryside until finding ourselves on the motorways for the final part of the day to get ourselves into Barcelona. A great end before reluctantly handing your bike keys in and relaxing with a final meal with the group.
