Unforgettable N. Queensland Harley Tour

This was our first group motorcycle tour. My wife and I decided that we would give one another an adventure to Australia for our 50th birthdays. Given that it is an adventure in itself to go from Seattle to Cairns, we were happy to let Ross, Anna, and Ernie take care of the details. We had numerous surprises on this trip...and all the surprises were welcome. First of all, our trip leader Ernie, was knowledgeable about everything Australia and everything on two wheels. Being from the US, it was a necessity that we follow the left hand riders; it was so freeing to not have to worry about directions. We essentially woke up (from always very nice accommodations) had a great breakfast and rode through amazing terrain. We had scheduled breaks and there was always plenty of time for photos. The side tours and points of interest were all very worthwhile.
Ross was always there for us, with a spare bike in tow should it be needed; it never was, as all the bikes were in perfect condition! At the end of each riding day, there was always a cold beer available from Ross's Esky.
Our group was a manageable size and we all got along fabulously! Having all the details work out made it easy to focus on enjoying the trip. Dinners out with the group were as fun as the days riding together. Ross made sure we had a welcome dinner together and a goodbye dinner. Our guide Ernie was the perfect shepherd, keeping an eye on each of us and ensuring no one was lost in the few busier towns we rode through.
Highlights of trip included riding down single lane roads through the bush, while passing road trains. We saw kangaroos, wallabies, a platypus, cassowary, and fortunately no crocodiles or stingers! We stayed in a haunted mining manor, a train coach, took the bikes across a ferry, carved 100’s of turns at the Gillies Pass, and laughed every day until it hurt! We took a side helicopter tour of the Great Barrier Reef and on another day snorkeled the reef, seeing thousands of fish and a whale! And, we learned survival skills from the rain forest Aborigines.
Sadly the tour came to end…but that motivates us to plan our next Eaglerider tour…
We miss Australia already and highly recommend the North Queensland tour. Thank you Ross for making this trip amazing and for your attention to detail. Anna, you took care of all us from afar, but the next time we want you on the tour with us!

far north Queensland tour

as a general rule i tend not to write reviews , as every ones expectations and tastes are so very different ,so take them myself with a pinch of salt. that said if you have never been on a eaglerider tour , and i say tour not holiday as that would be a massive unjustness to what is so much more.this tour was my third with eagelrider and they are always put together with not just well organised skill , but care and thought. they are not thrown together by a faceless corporation, but by people that love to ride and have a lust to explore . Me and my girl ,who is by the way a very girly girl , she wont mind me saying here shoes normally have red soles not 2 inches of rubber !! .. well we have seen more of the world then we could have ever dreamed of , thanks to eaglerider and the people that run these tours. people like larlar ,preacher , tim orr and on our latest tour. ross and anna from eaglerider cains Australian . having done two in the U.S we felt it was time to see another continent , i cant tell you how happy we are that we went. once again the tour was put together with the high stranded and care that we have come to expect from eaglerider, and the ozzy gang will not disappoint . what better way of exploring a country then on a bike , you get to see so much more then you ever would just staying in one place. plus on one of the rest days we got to go and scuba dive the barrier reef . not a bad day off !! if you love to ride , explore , and make friends for life . then this tour is for you . on a personal note would like to thank ross and anna for yet more memories .the only way to see Australia is on a bike, so get in touch with eaglerider and go ..
