Introduction

Founded in July 1992, EagleRider has since become the world's largest motorcycle rental and touring company by defining a unique, high growth niche market for itself: marketing the "American Dream" to destination minded vacationers, adventure travelers and motorcycle enthusists. EagleRider is a full service motorcycle and powersport rental and tour agency that caters to international and domestic motorcycle enthusiasts and aficionados. Over 200,000 customers have enjoyed the ultimate vacation adventure by touring the United States, Europe and Mexico on EagleRider's prestigious rental motorcycle line from Harley-Davidson®, Honda and BMW. More than just a vehicle rental agency, EagleRider is a recreation and tourist organization that is pioneering the new industry of motorcycle tourism.

EagleRider has already built a fleet of over 2,500 motorcycle, dirt bike, ATV, watercraft and snowmobile rental vehicles out of its 45 worldwide rental facilities, making EagleRider one of the largest single purchaser of new motorcycles. Through a global marketing network of travel business partners, travel agents, airlines and distribution systems, EagleRider is positioned for rapid growth by extending its domestic and international marketing reach to include new rental operations in high demand tourist destinations and metropolitan areas.

The company owes much of its success due to its travel industry targeted marketing concept. After extensive market research, EagleRider discovered success in tailoring custom motorcycle or powersport rental and tour services to the new and emerging audience of middle class achievers. This market segment consists of people who are searching for reasonably priced adventure vacations that allow for exploration and discovery of a destination.

Many of the world's vacationing population use their vacations not for relaxing, but as an opportunity to explore the world and to enjoy other cultures. Many of them plan their vacations in exquisite detail and they relish the opportunity for something new. Consider business tycoon Malcolm Forbes touring China with friends on a fleet of Harley-Davidsons®. His group went to great expense to ship their favorite motorcycles to China in order to tour an interesting destination in a way not possible with any other mode of travel. That same enthusiasm is shared by a large proportion of the world's population who regularly take "destination vacations" or business trips that double as mini-vacations. These enthusiasts dream of the opportunity to tour the world on their dream Harley, Honda or BMW motorcycle but unlike Malcolm Forbes, find the logistics and costs prohibitive. EagleRider caters to this market segment, providing them the opportunity to experience the open road without costing them a fortune.

Executive Management

Chris McIntyre, Jeff Brown, Peter Wurmer and Barry Breckon are the executive management team of EagleRider as well as long time motorcycle enthusiasts. They conceived the business as a natural extension of their own personal interests and marketing expertise. Investing more than ten years researching the market potential, demographics, structure, and travel distribution system of the buisness they evaluated and planned all of the logistics and operational problems to be overcome, established and nurtured key strategic relationships for business development, and assembled a team of professional partners and managers experienced in all facets of the business: vacation vehicle rental operations, vehicle maintenance, vacation promotion and marketing, and legal resources.

Marketing and Demographics

EagleRider has developed an extensive marketing network of international and domestic travel wholesale and distribution business partners in the recreation, entertainment and vacation service industry. These business partners are contractually committed to promote and market the EagleRider rental and tour programs. This year alone, EagleRider is featured prominently in more than 1,000 different full color travel agent publications and online vacation distributors, amounting to a reach to over 100 million prospective travelers throughout the world. This marketing network enables EagleRider to rival the scale and reach to that of major car rental companies such as Hertz or Avis.

Customer Demographics

The typical EagleRider motorcycle rental or touring customer is a 40 year old professional male who enjoys the outdoors and traveling the world.  The typical  powersport (ATV, Dirt Bike, Personal Watercraft or Snowmobile) rental customer is younger at around 30 years of age and over 25% are female. EagleRider customers vary greatly but are generally focused around recognized tourist destinations that offer beautiful weather and a scenic setting for motorcycle touring or adventure exploring. EagleRider customers usually plan routes that include national parks, historic trails, and famous metropolitan areas. Any city that maintains high tourist traffic and easy access to an international airport is likely to be a successful EagleRider franchise business location.

Company Growth Plans

Plans are underway to expand EagleRider corporate infastructure and dramatically grow its franchise rental locations around the world. Business plan projections estimate new store expansion to eventually exceed 500 rental showrooms located in virtually every popular vacation destination in the world. To achieve this growth, new business segments and profit centers will be implemented in many franchise locations and will include; rentals, tours, service, sales, parts, accessories, and clothing. In addition to its full line of Harley-Davidson®, Honda and BMW rental motorcycles, the EagleRider Adventure Rental Program includes recreational rental vehicles such as personal watercraft, ATVs, off-road motorcycles (dirt bikes), snowmobiles, and scooters.  Already the world leader in motorcycle rentals, EagleRider plans to become the most recognized adventure travel and powersport rental company in the world.
