Hwy 62 will take you all the way into Palm Springs, your base for the next two nights. Overnight.

Today is at leisure and you will have time to explore Joshua Tree National Park. This California desert country contains striking granite formations and mountain ranges rising from flat valleys about 1,800 feet above sea level to elevations of more than 5,000 feet. The desert supports a wide variety of wildlife, including many resident and migratory birds – the park’s largest animal is the desert bighorn sheep. Return to Palm Springs and enjoy this fashionable resort by night. Overnight.
