You like twisties and views? Then this is the ride for you…from Knoxville it will take you through one of the best-kept secrets in East Tennessee, the “Devil’s Triangle”. En route you pass by the Oak Ridge Atomic Laboratory, the formerly top-secret birthplace of the atom bomb. Continue along the Cumberland Plateau up to Monterey. Scoop up the northern scenic loop via Livingston and Gainesboro into Cookeville. Overnight.

Knoxville Explorer II

From Cookeville head south on Hwy 135 and cross over to McMinniville, settled on an old American Indian war-trace between southeastern Tennessee and Kentucky. Continue southward along the scenic Cumberland Plateau and ride via Altamont and Whitwell into Chattanooga. There is no shortage of things to see and do here – must-sees are the Tennessee Aquarium, Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain. Overnight.

Knoxville Explorer II

Pick up Hwy 58 and continue north along White Oak Mountain up to Decatur, where you find yourself in the Tennessee Valley on your way to the halfway point of Athens. Take Hwy 304 to Kingston and return to Knoxville via the “Devils Triangle”. Time to drop off your motorcycle.
