Day 1 : Billings Arrival

Sturgis

Please get a taxi from the airport to your downtown hotel. EagleRider’s representative will be present at the hotel lobby to give you information about the upcoming trip. Explore the city tonight or just get a goodnight’s sleep.

Day 2 : Billings - Buffalo

Sturgis

After breakfast you will get to check out your ride for the tour. We’ll quickly leave town and start the adventure. The ride will take us to an excursion to Little Big Horn Battlefield. The Battle of the Little Bighorn—also known as Custer's Last Stand, and, in the parlance of the relevant Native Americans, the Battle of the Greasy Grass—was an armed engagement between a Lakota-Northern Cheyenne combined force and the 7th Cavalry of the United States Army. It occurred between June 25 and June 26, 1876, near the Little Bighorn River in the eastern Montana Territory.

Day 3 : Buffalo - Rapid City

Sturgis

Gentle twisting roads through rolling hills and time will fill your senses as we leave Buffalo and head east. We reach Devils Tower National Monument where some 30 years ago the Steven Spielberg movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” was shot. We slowly reach Deadwood; this really cool city in the Black Hills of South Dakota is a national historic site. The last part of today’s ride gets us to Rapid City, our destination and base camp for the next exciting 3 days to come.

Day 4 : Rapid City

Sturgis

For the next 3 days we have time to get into the sights, sounds and feel of the world’s biggest Harley event in all its glory. In this time you can come on organized ride-outs with our knowledgeable crew to Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Mt Rushmore and through the Black Hills. And we’ll also take you to some of the events happening like Thunder Road or the drag racing. Or you can do exactly as you please and find your own way around. The choice is yours!

Day 5 : Rapid City

Sturgis

Sturgis rally and local travel

Day 6 : Rapid City

Sturgis

Sturgis Rally and local travel

Day 7 : Rapid City - Casper

Sturgis

Today we head south and cruise towards Custer where the road is twisty, narrow and oh-so-sweet. You’ll be amazed by the rock cuts and tunnels of the Needles Highway. Then we ride west across the plains to Casper. If we’re lucky we can follow Custer’s footsteps and find a little gold here, watch out for some Sioux warriors! Casper, our stop for the night, was a major settlement in the 19th century, and our hotel is situated by the North Platte River and has served as the home-away-from-home for celebrities and dignitaries such as John Wayne or former President George W. Bush.

Day 8 : Casper - Cody

Sturgis

From Casper we’re passing through the towns of Shoshoni and Thermopolis. As might be expected from its name and the name of its county, Thermopolis is home to numerous natural hot springs, in which mineral-laden waters are heated by geothermal processes. It claims the world's largest mineral hot spring as part of Hot Springs State Park. The road takes us further west and into Cody. This town offers a lot of things to see and do. Cody is one of the best places in America to experience the True West. Exploring Yellowstone, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, rafting trips, rodeos and a visit to the Buffalo Bill Museum are all exciting ways to experience this town.

Day 9 : Cody - West Yellowstone

Sturgis

We’re not wasting any time this morning and ride straight into Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first national park. Within Yellowstone our journey will take us past some of the most magnificent displays of natural beauty and wildlife that Mother Nature has to offer. We motor on to the village of West Yellowstone for the evening.

Day 10 : West Yellowstone - Billings

Sturgis

Our last day of riding - unfortunately! But before we return to Billings we still get to experience some more of the amazing and beautiful Yellowstone National Park and a breath-taking ride over Bear Tooth Pass which gets us to Red Lodge. Now we’re off for the final leg back to the place we started from 10 days ago. At our good-bye dinner we recap the days and speculate about a next possible tour through this truly vast and gorgeous country.

Day 11 : Billings Departure

Sturgis

Departure. We say "good bye" to our newly made friends and hope to see you again next year.
